"The introduction of our latest process computer, the IIVO is a milestone I am very proud of."
During my business administration studies, I did a study on employees in engineering at Hoogendoorn as an HRM trainee and got to know different disciplines within the organisation. I found the development department extremely interesting and I graduated there. After my studies, I started to study horticulture and technology more in-depth besides development. The combination of those three areas is incredibly fun and instructive. That is one of the reasons why I have been working at Hoogendoorn for 10 years now.
I am the pivot between Development, Sales, Customer Service and Management. I also have regular contact with our partners and end customers. I enjoy this constant switching. One moment you are brainstorming with a developer on how to integrate a new functionality into our system and the next moment you are at a rose garden where millions of roses are grown to discuss the customer's wishes.
Everyone is hugely loyal and has the organisation's best interests at heart. This ensures that there is a lot of talk about content and hardly any conflicts. Internal knowledge sharing in this flat organisation is also embedded in the Hoogendoorn culture. Everyone raises each other to a higher level, which is very pleasant.
In development, we have drinks once every three weeks and continue to hobby (develop) our dashboard, where we try to visualise more information from our system using the latest techniques. The combination of a drink and learning at the same time is so much fun.
The introduction of our latest process computer, the IIVO is a milestone I am very proud of. After years of working under the radar on this innovation, on 8 October 2020 it was finally here! The system was also received very enthusiastically, which made me extra proud.
